The leather patterns and cutting and sewing are all done by hand with great attention to detail, so unlike mass-produced, machine-made products that are uniform, each item is unique and there are no two items that are the same.

EARNEST WATCH is a series made entirely by hand, using the finest leather from Tochigi Leather, Japan's top tanner (leather manufacturer), with a focus on hand-cutting, hand-stitching with sinew thread, and hand-polishing.

The side of the crown (screw) is covered with the same leather as the band and dial, creating a sense of unity.

It also comes standard with a luxurious D-buckle that helps to prolong the life of the leather and has a one-touch push mechanism, making it easy to put on and take off.




There are no two watches that are exactly the same... and it's up to you to finally finish off this watch, which becomes even more beautiful the more you use it!

The leather for each watch is cut from the optimal part, while observing the pattern and condition of the leather, and the band is hand-sewn (with some exceptions) with great care, stitch by stitch. Unlike mass-produced, uniform products, the leather pattern, cutting, and sewing are all done by hand, so each watch is unique; no two are alike.

And the producer, Mr. Kanamori, says, "It is the customer who puts the final finishing touches on the watch."
"Once a watch is completed, it is only 50% complete. The more you use high-quality leather, the more it conforms to your wrist, and it develops a beautiful patina and character through exquisite aging. This, too, is not constant and depends on how you use it; it takes on the color, personality, and environment of the user. In other words, it is the customer who puts the finishing touches on these watches, and the more they are used, the closer they come to completion."
