Japanese Fabric Umbrellas

Since its founding in 1930, Komiya Shoten has maintained the belief that "the shape is the soul of the umbrella," creating this exquisite umbrella. Koshu weaving, a renowned weaving region in Fujiyoshida, Yamanashi Prefecture, is produced using a "pre-dyed" method in which the yarn is dyed before weaving, resulting in an elegant, stately texture and a design that allows you to enjoy different expressions on the inside and outside.
Skilled artisans adjust the wooden molds to the millimeter, and only about 10 umbrellas can be made per day, making this a true masterpiece of handcraft. Featuring 16 lightweight, durable carbon fiber ribs, it combines beauty with practicality. We offer a special umbrella just for you, one you can treasure and cherish through repeated repairs.
