Bristles: Highest quality boar bristles (natural bristles)
Back panel: Hard zelkova wood (lacquered)
Uses: Dust removal and pilling prevention for clothing

This is a boar bristle clothes brush that is stiff and has strong brushing power.
When the dust in the fibers is removed and the weave is smoothed, the clothes will have a lustrous appearance.

What you should pay attention to about this product is that it is hand-planted.
Only a few can be made per day, which shows the meticulous care and attention to detail that goes into making them. The brushes are handmade, so they don't shed easily, making them exceptionally long-lasting.

"For our hand-planted clothes brushes, we take advantage of the curved nature of boar bristles by aligning the bristles and planting them so that the curves meet, a technique unique to our craftsmen, resulting in a brush that is flexible yet firm and resilient.
Founded in 1921, we have been making our products for 90 years, preserving our reliable techniques and traditions while striving to create masterpieces that can only be made in our shop. We hope you will give them a try." (Kumiko Miyagawa, third generation owner)

90 years since our founding! We also manufacture plastering brushes for the exterior wall construction of Tokyo Station.

Miyagawa Hake Brush has been preserving reliable techniques and traditions for over 90 years since its founding in 1921. The previous owner, Miyagawa Akio, was recognized as a contemporary master craftsman with exceptional skills, and after receiving the Taito Ward Outstanding Skilled Worker Award, he was also recognized as a Tokyo Traditional Craftsman by the Governor of Tokyo in 2003, and received the Tokyo Meister Outstanding Skilled Worker Medal in the same year.

Nowadays, there is a constant stream of requests for Miyagawa's brushes, not only from within Japan but also from overseas, and many foreign artists make the effort to visit the store.

Miyagawa's plastering brush was also used during the construction of the exterior walls of Tokyo Station, at the request of the master carpenter on site, who said, "This brush gets the job done the fastest and is the most efficient."
"At that time, plasterers came from all over the country to make hundreds of pieces, so it was a very busy time," says Miyagawa.

Experience the craftsmanship of these professionally used brushes, along with their comfortable feel.
Care

Remove dust from the base of the brush using a toothpick or bamboo skewer.
You can also remove dirt by using a brush cleaner or rubbing the brushes together.
Also, store your clothes brush in a well-ventilated place.

*Please avoid washing with water as it will cause dust and other particles to harden and become difficult to remove.

Unlike nylon masks, I hope you will feel the sensation of it becoming more comfortable on your skin the more you use it. What makes me happiest is hearing all kinds of feedback from people who have used it. I would encourage everyone to give it a try.
